KVCR has partnered with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and Footsteps 2 Brilliance and local children’s authors. Together we’ve created the children’s television series, titled, Learn With Me. It’s hosted by educational professionals and teachers from throughout our region. The target audience is children first through third grade. Each half-hour episode is live action and animated - the first half of the show is recorded in English and the second half is recorded in Spanish. The live action with the teachers is recorded in the KVCR studio in front of a green screen. Learn With Me is designed for children to explore and spark learning along the way.

The supporting characters who are animated include Eddie, a spirited bi-lingual/bi-cultural boy who loves to have fun and learn new things at Central Elementary School. Barry the Bell is also featured as the wise-cracking, quick thinking baritone who guides the students and viewers to where they need to be - on time! Together with the teachers, Eddie and Barry bond the fun and charming cast that makes learning fun!

Season 1

The Voice of Barry the Bell

The voice of Barry the Bell is provided in both English and Spanish by veteran Los Angeles actor, Daniel Mora. Daniel embodies Barry's character, guiding viewers through each episode with his engaging, enthusiastic, fun-loving and inquisitive demeanor. Known for his work in the multiple Oscar-winning Disney film "COCO," Mora has also appeared in recurring roles on the Peabody Award-winning FX Network series "THE BRIDGE," and in the web series "SIN VERGÜENZA," which earned him an Imagen Award nomination for best actor in a series. Among his many other credits are "FRESH OFF THE BOAT," "AVENGE THE CROWS," "9-1-1," "THE MENTALIST," and "FILLY BROWN," a favorite at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. A Los Angeles native, Mora was raised in San Diego and joined the Army after high school. Following three years as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, Daniel returned to study business administration at San Diego State University, where he rekindled a love for acting that had been planted in elementary school. Daniel continues to be busy in film, television and theatrical productions, starring most recently in the critically acclaimed 2025 stage production of “THE LAST ANGRY BROWN HAT,” and the upcoming feature film, "CASAGRANDE." Director, Alfredo Cruz says, "I love working with Danny! He's such a good actor, and so committed to the role that refining Barry's character, and lines, has been very much a collaborative process. I couldn't ask for a more engaging and supporting partner!" Learn With Me found the perfect voice for Barry the Bell in Daniel Mora!

The Voice of Eddie

After a long and tedious search where we screened many voice actor applicants, Learn With Me finally found our “Eddie” in the young voice of Camilo Arrechedera. Since our character, Eddie, comes from an immigrant family that represents so many in our community, Eddie's voice needed to reflect that reality. And in Camilo, we found our perfect "Eddie!" Camilo is a true bicultural/bilingual young man who perfectly straddles and navigates the dynamic society that surrounds so many of our children and authentically provides the voice of Eddie in both English and Spanish. Despite his youth, Camilo came to Learn With Me as an already well-seasoned professional, with more than sixty voice over credits in the LAUGH AND GROW BIBLE animated series. Camilo has also been on camera and contributed voice overs for THE CHILD MIND INSTITUTE PROJECT and SESAME STREET. With a recording studio in his home, Camilo works with our director, Alfredo Cruz, over Zoom to accurately capture the feelings, and convey the nuances of Eddie's adventures. “Camilo is a complete natural and a pleasure to work with” says Cruz. Adding, “He’s great at following directions and instinctively knows how to self-correct – an ability and skill that even many adult, more experienced, actors do not possess.”  It’s a very exciting and creative process that provides Learn With Me with an amazing young talent, and also offers Camilo the opportunity to continue refining his craft. Working together, Camilo and Alfredo bring Eddie to life!

A Little Background About the Series

Each episode is live action and animated. It’s a half hour show - the first 12 minutes are recorded in English and the second half is recorded in Spanish. The live action with the teachers is recorded in the KVCR studio in front of a green screen. The background is animated as well as other parts of the show, including items, images or words that pop up.

The teachers read a story, just as they do in the classroom. Within each 12-minute segment are two “Break Out” segments that include an activity that further demonstrates the episode’s educational subject. At the end of each 12-minute segment there is a recap, an opportunity to review what we learned today. The recap incorporates “instant replays” and snippets from all the scenes throughout the episode.

We’re excited to work with teachers and bring new children’s content to our community. The series will be educational, entertaining, and engaging.

Hanging Out in NOUN TOWN

In each episode we invite young viewers to explore a variety of topics including Science, Technology, and Language Arts. In one episode we visit Noun Town and learn what a noun is.
